Technician

Eye Care Specialists, a premier eye care facility with 8 locations in northeast Pennsylvania has opportunities for a full-time Technician in our Berwick location. The Technician performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of the Physician. Responsibilities include: scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records and procedure coding for insurance purposes, taking and recording vital signs, medical histories preparing patients for examination and administering tests.

Successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, experience with computer systems, along with a minimum of 1 year related or relevant experience. Must be available to work some evenings and Saturdays.

Travelling Dispensing Optician

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time travelling Dispensing Optician for the Rutter Avenue location with travel to other locations required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: guiding patients in the selection of optical products to accommodate their prescription, assists with frame adjustments and repairs, entering charges and payments into the Practice Management system.

Successful candidate will possess strong customer service and sales skills, experience with computer systems, prior experience in optical preferred but not required. Must be available to work evenings and Saturdays.

 

Optical Lab Technician

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time entry-level Technician in our Kingston location. The Technician will be responsible for entering and receiving orders, unpacking orders from outside labs, preparing deliveries for other offices, performing administrative duties and learning all aspects of an eye glass finishing lab.

Successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, experience with computer systems, and the ability to work independently.

 

Research Assistant

The Clinical Research Center at Eye Care Specialists a fully integrated dynamic arm of the largest ophthalmic and optometric practice in Northeast Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time
Clinical Research Assistant.

Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Manager the Research Assistant provides technical and clinical support to clinical trials. Responsibilities include coordinating, organizing,
completing and maintaining documentation in accordance with sponsor/ Clinical Research Organization and company requirements; recruits, screens and enrolls potential study patients per established protocols; completes documentation in the medical record and enters data in the electronic data capture systems.

Successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Life Sciences or Social sciences program or 3-5 years clinical research experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently are required. Experience with practice management systems and IWRS systems a plus.

 

Staff Accountant

Eye Care Specialists, a premier eye care facility with 8 locations in northeast Pennsylvania has an immediate need for a full-time Staff Accountant for the Rutter Avenue location. Principal responsibilities include: monthly entries and postings along with account and bank reconciliations.

Successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years accounting experience. Additional qualifications include experience with: ADP Payroll; monthly closing; inventory systems, accrual accounting and advanced Excel. Familiarity with the Sage 100 accounting system is desired.
